DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Are these baking kits vegetarian/vegan?
​
Much of French patisserie requires the use of gelatin, which is made from animal products, therefore, if you use the gelatin, they are not vegetarian or vegan. However, you can visit the substitutions page, you can learn how to replace the gelatin with agar agar or pectin, though you will need to purchase that on your own. You can find links to purchase these ingredients in The Pantry on this site.

Do the kits contain nuts?
​
Some of the kits will contain nuts, either in a flour (like almond flour in the entremet kit), or as as whole nuts (like hazelnuts in the chocolate kit). If you have a nut allergy, please look at the ingredients in the kit to make sure that there is nothing in the kit that you are allergic to. Additionally, this is made in an environment where other ingredients may come into contact with nuts. We do have a substitutions page that offers suggestions to replace the nuts. Are these kits kosher or halal?
​
Much of French patisserie requires the use of gelatin, which is made from animal products. The gelatin included in these kits is a beef gelatin. This means that the kits should be halal, however, you should check each kit's ingredients to make sure for yourself. The kits are not kosher since by using the gelatin you will be mixing milk and meat product. However, you can visit the substitutions page, you can learn how to replace the gelatin with agar agar or pectin, though you will need to purchase that on your own. When will I receive my order?
You should expect 1-2 day business days for processing, plus 1-3 business days for transit. We ship USPS priority mail from California.

How much is shipping?

Orders over $100 receive free shipping.
Orders under $100 are charged a is a flat rate of $15.

Do you ship internationally?

Unfortunately, not at this time.

RETURNS
​
All sales are final; however, if related to the condition of a product, email us at info@bakeonkit.com within 30 days of receipt. We may send a replacement of the individual ingredient or product, or issue a partial refund. We reserve the right, however, to require either the return of the unsatisfactory ingredient or product, or a photograph of such, before any replacements are sent or any refunds are issued.

GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION

Can I make the kit I purchased multiple times?
​
Yes! And you should. It's in the practice that you'll become a pro. The kit comes with the tools you need and recipe to make the dessert over and over again, all you need to do is get the ingredients. And, if you prefer to just get the ingredients again from here, you can order Filler Kits that just come with the ingredients you need and no tools.

What's the shelf life?
​
Expiration dates are located on the bottom of each package, but typically range from 6 months to 1 year.

Is the packaging recyclable?
​
Yes! We have gone out of our way to make sure all the packaging is recyclable. Please recycle it!​

Where can I watch recipe video tutorials?
Each kit comes with its own recipe page that you can find by going to the Kit Recipe tab on the site menu.

What happens if I mess up a step?
​
That's ok! When learning a new skill, everyone messes up. The kits give you the exact amount of every ingredient in the recipe, so that you can easily repeat the step with the ingredients you have at home.
